The makings of a media mogul: Michael Arrington of TechCrunch " By Elias Bizannes " article " Liako.Biz
Very interesting article profiling Mr. Arrington from an outsider perspective with a bit of insider info. I think a large part of TechCrunch's initial success had to do with Arrington being a Silicon Valley "insider" and his connections. But obviously it also filled a great need at the time, which was two-fold, for startups to get PR for there product. And for VCs to be in the know about what is out there and available to invest in.
One thing all these folks have in common is the understanding that in this internet age, there is still opportunity to start the next Google, Yahoo, etc. And apperantly Mr. Arrington is a part of this in more ways than one. He is helping redefine new and mass media, as this article points out. -

HTML 5 is "here" but officially coming in 2012 they say. It will definitely change the way we do a lot of things but I wonder if it will be fully supported (with all the bugs worked out) by the modern browsers at the time. -
